(ILCE = Interchangeable Lens Camera with E-mount)
The new (so new there were no real world, hands on reviews on the interweb when I placed my order) Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G (24-82.5mm in 35mm equivalent focal length) wide-angle zoom lens is advertised by Sony as a workhorse lens for APS-C cameras. To test the theory I attached it to my Sony a6500/24mp crop sensor camera and had a wander around London to see what I could come up with. Unfortunately the forecast for scattered clouds and sunshine was in fact wall to wall cloud, dark and trying to rain. Far from ideal lighting conditions to try out a new lens. In the order taken.
